During many, many years, people have wondered if there is life on other planets. There have been great speculations in how the aliens would look like and if they would be nice or not. Some people are believers and some people are not. People have even made faked evidence, such as video tapes on "UFOs". Some peolpe claim to have been obducted and others say that these people are insane. The topic of aliens have always been discussable and people have always had different opinions and believes. I do not have to believe, I know that aliens exist. It is egocentric to think that aliens don´t exist.
Firstly, because the univers is so extremely huge and it contains millions of millions of planets. It would be unrealistic to think that only Tellus can capture life. The univers is so big and there are so many stars and planets out there. Other planets must have the same conditions as we have.
Even if not one single planet in the whole univers have the same conditions as Tellus, other forms and conditions for life must have been formed somewhere.
Secondly, millions of people claim that they have seen aliens or UFOs or other things like it. I am well aware that a big percent of these people are lying or imagining things. However, since the number of people saying that they have seen aliens or UFOs are so big, some of them must be telling the truth.
Finally, we humans can´t be so fascinated by our selves that we think that we are the only intelligent creature living in the entire univers. We can´t believe that we are so extra-ordinary and unique that we are alone in the univers.
However, many people say that if there were life on other planets, we would have known it by now. Again I say that the univers is big, we don´t have the tools or technology to look through the entire univers. But what if we know, maybe we have proof. Many people say that NASA know that there is life on other planets but they are hiding it from the population.
As a conclusion, I know that there is life on other planets because the univers is huge, it would be excentric of us to believe that we are the only intelligent life in univers. Also extremely many people have seen aliens and UFOs. They are out there somewhere.

Violation
Nine-eleven 2001 was a day when almost the whole world stood still. Planes flying into buildings, people screaming and dying. I think that we who experienced that day, never will forget it. Now, our lives and personal rights are influenced by that day. The fear of terrorists are so extrem that authorities now have the rights to read our e-mails, listen to our phone calls etc. They can do this in order to look for terrorists. It is wrong that authorities can have so much control and knowledge about us.
First, because our personal integrity is being violated. It almost says in the law that what we say, writes and thinks are not personal , it is for the authirities to look through. Then they can give their opinion, if we are dangerous or not. If we can´t write and we can´t speak without being afraid that someone is listening, then we have no personal rights. We have no personal integrity.
Second, this fear of terrorists which makes the authorities violate our integrity, is not going to stop the terrorists. The terrorists are not disappearing because of this. The authorities can keep reading e-mails, listening to phone calls and take pictures by satellites, but they will not stop the terrorists. If I were a terrorist, I wouldn´t be so stupid that I wrote about it on the Internet or talked about it on the phone.
Some people say that it doesn´t matter if the authorities can read our mail or listen to phone calls. If you have nothing to hide then you have nothing to fear. I am not afraid, I have my opinion because of a principle. Personal integrity should be personal integrity. It shouldn´t be some Mao-inspired; Everyone have to think exactly like us, or else...

Grades for young pupils.
Grades in general has always been a topic where people disagree and have different oppinions. Should we use grades or no grades? Should we start with grading in the early years or a lot later. Some people say that our entire school system is a big grading system. Every teacher, pupil and parent have their own oppinion in these kinds of questions. I am going to discuss my opinion. To grade pupils any earlier than we already do, would be a mistake.
First of all, a childs self esteem is the most important part of learning. Without self esteem the childrens learning are going a lot slower and some pupils don´t even dare to try to learn, in fear of failing. They also easely get stuck in that way of thinking, that they never are good enough. I believe that grading children a couple of years earlier than we do now would increase the number of pupils with low self esteem.
Second, in the world today, to many children are stressed. Stress leads to headache, it gets hard to focus and concentrate, it leads to hairloss and later in life it could lead to several dangerous diseases. These stressed out children are also going to increase if grading begins earlier. For some children it would be a great thing to strive for a good grade, but it can easely get out of hand and be to stressfull. Always wanting to be best, always wanting the highest grade. Grading can be to much to handle for some pupils.
Third, if we want our pupils to learn as much as possible, the years they go to school, it is important that school is fun. If the school is fun and keep being fun, the pupils will go to school with a positive attitude. They will remember the lessons and therefor learn as much as possible. As long as school is considered as fun most of the time, we will not have a problem. Mostly school is considered as fun when the children are young and stops being fun as they grow older. Grading is one way of taking away most of the fun in school for the children, as they see it.
On the contrary, pupils learn quickly if they belong to the smart or not so clever part of the class so they can get low self esteem with or without grades. In short, grades should not matter on this particular point. That is not true, even if the pupils learn fast if they are smart or not, I believe that it is a lot heavier to have it written down on paper. Harder to be graded and maybe even fail. That is much worse for their self esteem.
Grades can lower our childrens self esteem. Grades can make more children stressed out. Grades can take away a lot of the fun in school sooner and therefor also a big part of learning. We are to blame.
Climate change is a very urgent and important topic. Climate change is a result including many factors. We as the people on this planet have been told that this climate change mostly is our fault. Partly because we have been using and still are using fossil fuels etc. Consequently we can see and notice e.g; the global warming, sea level change and glacier retreat. Although we know that we need to make great changes in our way of living. To prevent this climate change of getting any worse, we don`t. Why don`t we make more and greater changes in our life to prevent climate change?
First I think that people in general don`t know how to make this great changes for the environment. They don`t have the way figured out on have to do this changes. I think people in general for instance know that they should separate household waste and that they should use their cars as little as possible. In other words, we have the most logical answers to this specific change. Yet we need to learn more, we need to get answers on have to make bigger changes.
Second, I believe that we are very good at reducing our own significance. I think that most people say to them selves; how much difference can I make? In short, I dont think that most people understand their own significance in this specific topic. In fact many people don`t bother to make changes for the environment, since they don`t think it will make any difference. Even if they know have to. I know this because I have heard a lot of people saying this exact sentences.
Third I think that we in general are to lazy. All in all, I belive hat our own lazyness is the biggest reason on why we don`t make more changes to prevent climate change. We like our way to living and we want this sort of comfort which we have got used to. We want our cars, TVs, computers, holidays and everthing else which we consider as normal. Though we maybe should see it as luxuary.
Last of all I want to say that maybe there is no several reasons on why we don`t do more changes. Maybe there is only one, important reason. That reson would be our own lazyness. Since media has talked and written so much on this topic for so many years. We should be both blind and deaf if we didn`t know how to make changes for the envirinment. Furthermore reducing our own significance is just another way of being lazy. Our lazyness is therefor destroying our planet. We have no one else to blame than our selves and our unsuitable lazyness.

What TV is for me!
Do you have a TV? It is a question you never hear. Everyone, at least everyone in this country have a TV. Everyone watch TV and it has become a sort of furniture as common as having a sofa.
Yet I lived in an apartment in Karlstad for a year without any TV. Therefor could I never watch TV, series or movies. Instead I read books, painted, wrote and etc. This was a life I never had lived before and probably never will live again.
Still I am not to fond of watching TV. This for several reasons. Firstly I believe that TV can destroy our meaningfull relationships. Because if our boyfriends/husbands or wifes and our children as well as ourselfes would watch TV every evening, there would never be time to associate in a deeper meaning. There are to many familys living their life never knowing each other, never talking. I belive that with less TV time there would be more moments to sharish and to store in your memory.
Secondly I am a big fan of parlour games. Since TV time and parlour game time often collide this means that TV time usually wins. Consequently my parlour game evenings rarely arrives.
Finally I believe that TV make you lead a more sedentary life. In the time we all are living in. In this society we all are living in I dont think that this is something to strive for.

Children
There are so many children in the past and today that don´t have a secure and safe home. They don´t get the nurturing which they need and they never get to feel loved.
I believe that the most important thing for a child is a home, a real home where they can feel secure and loved. Without this they don´t get a childhood, they can´t be the children we all want them to be, playing and having fun with friends.
In some homes everything is misery, drinking, drugs, beating, screaming and sex. In their world it doesn´t exist any embraising hugs or fairytales with happy endings. I think that it is our responsibility as adults and more important as teachers. To keep our eyes open and don´t look the other way when we see the signals.
When thinking of these children, that lives this kind of lives. Other things like too much computer time or bad television programmes don´t seems to be a big problem anymore.
I believe that the most important thing for a child is a home, a real home where they can feel secure and loved. Without this they don´t get a childhood, they can´t be the children we all want them to be, playing and having fun with friends.
